Adobe Presenter 7.0.7 is HERE with ActionScript 3.0 Support

Today I’m happy to report that our much anticipated update of Adobe Presenter with full support for ActionScript 3.0 (AS3) is here, and this is a free update to anyone who owns Adobe Presenter 7, or any version of our Adobe eLearning Suite.

In case you are not familiar with Adobe Presenter, it is a Plug-and-Play Rapid eLearning development tool for Microsoft PowerPoint. When installed, you will see a new ribbon added to your version of PowerPoint, as illustrated here in yellow:

Using the tools in this Ribbon you can bring your static PowerPoint files to life with audio, video, interactive Flash content, Quizzes and more, in order to create interactive eLearning modules and well as high-impact marketing and sales presentations.

For example, using the Record button, you can quickly record high-quality audio and then sync the audio to your PowerPoint animations with fine precision.

Using the Insert SWF button, you can supplement your Presenter projects with software demonstrations and interactive simulations created with Adobe Captivate 5 and 5.5.

Unlike other similar solutions where you need to purchase an additional Quizzing module, Adobe Presenter ships with full support for adding Question slides to your projects.

Finally when you are ready to Publish your content, Adobe Presenter creates AICC- and SCORM-compliant content for publishing to any Learning Management System (LMS).

Adobe Presenter can also publish your projects directly to Adobe Connect 8, as well as to a PDF file, preserving all your animations.

You can learn more about Adobe Presenter 7 by visiting our Presenter pages online HERE.

As I wrote above, Adobe Presenter 7.0.7 is a free update to anyone who owns Adobe Presenter 7, or any version of our Adobe eLearning Suite. You can download a free trial of Adobe Presenter 7.0.7 and use your existing serial key to activate it.

Please share your thoughts about this new update and about Adobe Presenter in general by leaving a comment here and thanks in advance for helping us spread the words about this update.

What about those of us who received Presenter via a purchase of Adobe Acrobat Pro?  There are numerous problems install Presenter if you received it via Acrobat Pro (the serial number doesn’t work).  Also, can it be installed into Office 2010?

I love Presenter, but installing it has been a huge headache.

I the Read Me file it lists the following procedures for installation with eLS2, eLS 2.5, and Acrobat Suite.
We have eLS2 and my upgrade installed flawless using the suite installer. Try that.
Note – If you installed Presenter as part of Adobe ELearning Suite 2, 2.5 or Acrobat suite, follow the steps below to install Adobe Presenter 7.0.7:
      1. Uninstall the installed instance of Presenter 7
      2. Install Presenter 7.0.7 in trial mode
      3. Once done, rerun the ELearning Suite or Acrobat suite installer
      4. Choose Adobe Presenter in the list of products to be installed
      5. Enter the suite serial number
      6. Complete the installation

  • Yes, this latest Adobe Presenter release works with Microsoft Office 2010.  We were part of the beta-test at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  A solid release :: highly recommended.

On the other hand, UIC also needs to get the installer problems fixed when Adobe Presenter was purchased as part of Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Pro Extended. We have lots of UIC faculty, staff and department at UIC that purchased it as part of an Acrobat package.

  • How exactly can new copies of Adobe Presenter be purchased for educational institutions?

We know the Adobe e-Learning Suite is one option, but most of our faculty and staff don’t need that. They just need to purchase new/more copies of only Adobe Presenter.  Certainly, that $500 unit price listed on the Adobe Presenter will scare new customers, but in the past Adobe Presenter has been available for purchase by educational institutions for about $100 which is a lot more reasonable.

    • Edu customers can buy a 5 pack lisc of #AdobePresenter for $375 (list price). This is available from any of our Value Added Resellers. They can also purchase single units for $150 from the education store on

I have tried this now a few times and it doesn’t work with Acrobat Pro Extended, and waiting on hold for Adobe and having them not be able to help is frustrating. Why can’t Adobe fix these problems. Look at any forum, and you’ll find many people with the same issue. If you can’t fix the problem, send us a serial number for Presenter!
